Equine services are offered using research backed equine models of therapy and learning. All sessions are conducted on the ground (meaning no riding) and are designed with the individual or group in mind.
Group therapy often provides clients with a diverse perspective, validation, and a sense of belonging. The GYST Center, LLC often contracts with larger organizations to bring EAP to clients struggling with mental health, and navigating the stressors of life. Currently we run 6 groups per week for individual companies providing EAP services to those struggling with substance use disorder, co-occurring disorders, loss/grief, PTSD, and other stress induced disorders.
These types of EAL sessions do not fall into the category of therapy. Instead they offer a way to help cooperations and smaller companies bring their employees together. These are often 2-6 hour events that allow a group of employees to work on skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, conflict resolution, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

Outdoor based therapy takes physical activity and pairs it with psychotherapy. Both of which are a powerful method for change and create improvement in overall mental and physical well-being.

Currently we are offering two walk and talk 8-week therapy groups. These two groups focus on setting healthy boundaries with self and others, building confidence and self-esteem, and improving overall self-image.
We strongly value experiential, evidence-based therapeutic approaches; however, we also recognize that talk therapy delivered via telehealth plays an important role for many clients due to its flexibility and accessibility. As such, we frequently offer online telehealth sessions for clients seeking experiential therapy, as well as those interested solely in talk therapy. These virtual sessions are especially useful during inclement weather or seasonal changes.
